Welcome to the Library of Suryodaya College of Engineering & Technology. It was established in the year 2010. The Central Library is the 'Heart' of institute. Library Building with an area of 601.64 sq.mtr. The seating capacity of library is 220 at a time. It is regarded as the best technical Library. It serves as a knowledge hub containing resources not only in the form of print but also in e-resources. SCET Library is a blend of functional structure, elegance and exquisiteness- possesses a 18000 Thousand collection about volumes of books. Including Text Books, Reference Books, Social Welfare Book Bank Books. Journals and Periodicals- 55 National(Indian) and International. e-journals in DELNET, magazines and Daily Newspapers 16, Journals section with reading room facilities and bound volumes of journals. A special reference section for higher learning. Multimedia packages and the Internet Access with independent Multimedia Room. Technical CD’s from reference books. Fully Computerized with easy access to database. SCET Library is successfully leaping towards executing the onerous job of exploiting the power of information technologies to its advantage applying them to various library activities for retrieval and dissemination of information.

Library orientation is given to the new students and newly hired staff of the college to allow them to use the library collection extensively and benefit the facility of the library.

Book Classification system in Use:-
Library use the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) for assigning subject codes to books. Every book in the library has a unique Subject Code, an author prefix and a unique Accession no.
Library Software:-
Central library has used fully automated libman software developed Version 2.1.0
Library OPAC:-
Online Public Access Catalogue, which is a key to our entire collection of books, can also be accessed through library intranet.
Newspaper Clipping Services :-
Maintained Newspaper clipping file for up-to-date record of information regarding new trend in Education.
Email Service:-
On demand soft copy of Syllabus, Question Papers, etc. provided to the students & faculty members by using email.
Information Display and notification:-
Library information such as New Arrivals, Library Rules, Journal List, Notices, News Paper Clipping, etc. are displayed on Library Notice Board from time to time.
Book Bank Schemes :-
Central Library will be providing Institutional Book Bank Scheme to the regular students of Institute. The Library has “Internet Resource Centre” where one can get the list of good number of URLs in the form of booklets, which supplements the teaching and learning process. Library also displays the list of academic related websites for the week as ‘Websites of the Week’. Internet Surfing and Downloading Facility (E-Journals and E- Books)

Library is proud to provide online access facility to the students and faculty members to the internationally reputed commercial databases like DELNET, NDLI and so many (Paid or Free) databases.
NPTEL-IIT Video Lecture Series:-
Online / Hard copy National Digital Library (NDL) is a virtual repository of learning resources with a single-window search facility. LIBRARY BYE- LAW
No transaction will be made without identify card. I-card shall be nontransferable.
Three books will be issued to the student member at a time for 30 days and it may be re-issued three times for 15 days.
CD accompanying the book will be issued at the request of the user.
If the book is not returned before stipulated time limit, a penalty of Rs. 5/- will be imposed per day per book.
Any existing damage should be brought to the notice of the staff and signature be obtained otherwise user shall be held responsible.
If book is lost, either it shall be replaced by new copy or by paying double the cost of book.
If requisitioned book is not available, please register your claim. It will be issued As soon as it is available based on the serial order of claimants.
If claimant fails to get the book issued within 3 days, it will be issued to the next claimant.
Clearance certificate will not be issued unless all the books/CDs are returned and dues are paid.
The amount of penalty shall be recovered after summer examination.
Rules regarding maintaining silence, utilization of books and library facilities and general discipline to be maintained in the library, are displayed in the library notice board. Students violating the rules will be debarred from the library service.
