ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
A hearty welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Diploma) at Suryodaya College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur. Mechanical Engineering is one of the core branch, established in 2015 with intake of 60 students. The department vision is to enrich the students with advance technology, entrepreneurship skills and competencies to meet the challenges of the industries and society. The department is enriched with highly qualified and well experienced faculties ready to take challenges of mentoring the future Diploma Engineers with a sound foundation in engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and apply engineering knowledge and to prepare them for higher studies, with adequate infrastructure including labs, departmental library, Regular industrial visits, Industrial training, interaction with field experts along with participation in various co-curricular events for the better grooming and overall development of the students. This department was accredited by National Board of Accreditation in 2023 for the period of 3 years. For overall development of the students, the department is associated with Professional society’s chapters -   Mechanical Engineering students Association (MESA).

Recently Department Conducted MSBTE State Level Technical Paper Presentation Competition dated on 24-09-2024, For Final Year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Students (Nagpur Region). And Conducted Inter Engineering Diploma Students Sport Association (IEDSSA) CARROM AND CHESS TOURNAMENT for Boys and Girls.

Department of Mechanical  Engineering (NBA Accredited Diploma Program) from Suryodaya College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur, Successfully Conducted MSBTE State Level Technical Paper Presentation Competition  dated on 24-09-2024, For Final Year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Students (Nagpur Region). The objective of the competition is to provide an opportunity to the students for enhancing their technical skills in the latest and upcoming trends and promote innovation, Creativity, remove stage fright and improve communication skills along with the development of necessary soft skills and self-confidence.The Program is inaugurated by Hon.
