ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

I welcome you to the Department of Mining Engineering, Suryodaya College of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur. Mining engineering is a multidisciplinary field that combines science, engineering, and technology to extract minerals from the earth. It involves the design, construction, operation, and closure of mines, ensuring the efficient and safe extraction of valuable resources. We are strongly committed to imparting quality education in various areas of the mining engineering discipline. Many seminars, conferences, certifications and training sessions are also scheduled by the department to make the students develop themselves globally. Department also takes the initiative to improve the soft skills on surveying instruments and many mining instruments related mine working and hazardous gases. The department has a team of well qualified, experienced and motivated faculty members to prepare the young minds of our students for global competition, so that they can face the competition in the corporate world confidently.
